The International Society of Clinical Pharmacy in Developing Countries (ISCPharmDC) is a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization of eminent clinical pharmacy professionals. ISCPharmDC was established to facilitate the advancement of patient-oriented pharmacy practice in developing countries. The Society exists to carry out programs that will enrich the broader work of those in the health sector and academia in relation to the provision of pharmaceutical services. Therefore, the organization will continue to develop programs and play advisory roles to Schools of Pharmacy, health institutions, government agencies and other relevant bodies that can facilitate an effective and efficient clinical services provision to the benefit of patients receiving medications in hospital and community pharmacies. ISCPharmDC will provide educational support for members and collaborate with other professional societies and association, government and relevant bodies in developing countries and the international community to achieve its goals.
Membership of ISCPharmDC is open to clinical pharmacists residing in developing countries and others pharmacists living in developed countries willing to contribute to the advancement of clinical pharmacy practice in developing countries.
The Society awards fellowships to deserving persons on the basis of evidence of substantial achievement or contribution to the growth of patient-centered pharmacy practice in developing countries. Such a person will usually be nominated by at least two existing fellows or founding members on application. Those with a four-years supervised clinical pharmacy specialty training may apply.
